Two programs to explore
For eligible individuals
Better Jobs Ontario
Skills training and financial support for eligible people seeking work in an in-demand occupation.
- You may qualify if you were laid off and are not working, or are doing temporary work to cover costs
- You may also qualify if you have been unemployed for at least 12 weeks and are part of a low-income household
- Apply with an Employment Ontario service provider, who assesses your circumstances and helps prepare your application
For eligible employers
Ontario Job Grant
Employer-led funding to train existing employees or eligible new hires for an identified job opportunity.
- The employer applies for funding
- Employer, trainee and training eligibility requirements apply
- Training must be delivered by an eligible third-party provider
- Funding and employer contributions depend on the approved application
